I started deviantart because I followed links links shared by my favorite authors on fanfiction.net and fictionpress. Before i made an account, I lurked in dA to look at the beautiful artwork and also the not so beautiful ones. The wonderful artwork created by talented artists inspired me to improved my own and the not so polished work reminded me that everyone has to start somewhere and that I CAN improve as evidenced by these brave artists who are willing to showcase their first forays into art and brave the critics for a chance to improve.
